Kraft-y Hearts Blog Share Day 2: A Little Smitten

Celebrating Close To My Heart's January Stamp Of The Month: Happy Valentine's Day

Hi Friends! Welcome to Day 2 of the Kraft-y Hearts Blog Share. I hope you enjoyed yesterday's project. Today's card is a little 4 x 4-inch easel.

For this card, I used a combination of Kraft and Ruby cardstocks. I stamped the Kraft papers with the January SOTM using Desert Sand Exclusive Ink. "Smitten" is stamped in Ruby Exclusive Ink, matted on Ruby cardstock and popped up with dimensional adhesive. Small and medium Opaque Pearl Gems add just a little oomph to the color palette.

Here's a close-up of the card front:

For the inside, I used Ruby Exclusive Ink on the sentiment and off-centered it a bit for interest. I also created the layers for the easel from Ruby and Kraft cardstock to mimic the front. I added a second sentiment to the easel layer, again using Ruby Exclusive Ink. Small pearls add a little extra pizzaz.

Here are a couple of close-ups of the inside:

And here it is in all its easel splendor!

I hope you enjoyed my little bit of smitten. Don't forget, the January Stamp Of The Month: Happy Valentine's Day can be purchased for just $5.00 with a qualifying purchase of $50 or more. Or, if you'd rather purchase it alone, it can be yours for just $17.95. (A great deal either way!)

Make sure you stop by From My Bungalow and see what the fabulously talented Lynn Darda is up to!
