A Little Rainy Day Mojo

Hi All! April's handing out its showers today (with a little bit of thunder for emphasis), so I'm inside crafting. No complaints here!

I thought I'd share a card I made for Mojo Monday's Tall & Skinny challenge

This paper really seems retro to me, so I decided to take some photos with my fun and funky vintage elephants. They just make me smile on this rainy day....

For this card, I used papers from the Free To Be paper pack that will be released by Close To My Heart TOMORROW! (I don't know if the sun'll come out, but tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya tomorrow...) But I digress....

The card base is cut from Kraft Cardstock and measures 3 1/2 x 8 inches. The cardstock, patterned paper and Feather vellum (yep, VELLUM) are all from the Free To Be pack. I cut the feathers out of the patterned paper. Alternatively, you could use Close To My Heart's Feathers stamp set for a fun look as well. I added a little White Daisy cardstock behind the patterned paper to set the patterns off just a bit. The sentiment is from the April Stamp Of The Month: Balloon Talk. Today's the last day for this fun and versatile set, so if you haven't ordered it yet, you definitely want to hurry! I stamped it in Juniper Exclusive Ink and popped it up with dimensional adhesive.

Here are some close-ups:

And here is the card once again, but without the pachyderms:

I hope you've enjoyed a little rainy day mojo. Remember, if you want to get Balloon Talk, you need to order it today: $5 with any qualifying $50 purchase, or you can purchase by itself it for $17.95. You can order it here.

  2. This is adorable, Kim! I love that tall skinny shape, and the papers are so bright and fun. Great mix with the kraft. Love the feathers and speech bubble sentiment, too. And it is so fun to see this photographed with your adorable vintage ellies! How cute they are!
