A Marvel-ous Little Favor

Hi All! Today is the opening of the new Marvel Avengers movie: Age of Ultron at our local theater. Woo HOO!! I have to say, we're a family of fans. However, the biggest fan of all is my daughter. She is a HUGE fan of Captain America in particular. So this year, when her 13th birthday rolled around a couple of weeks ago, she decided to put off her birthday party until the opening weekend of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Now THAT's dedication!

In honor of said movie, and said Captain, I created these little party favors for her guests:

Each square box holds an EOS lip balm, and the top box holds a Burt's Bees lip balm (for the friend who is allergic to shea butter).

All of the boxes are made using a combination of Cranberry and Pacifica cardstocks, along with silver foil cardstock by Ranger (which is actually more like lightweight chipboard than cardstock), and some White Shimmer Trim. I popped up the layers of the shield with dimensional adhesive to give it...well...dimension, and used coordinating Cranberry and Pacifica Exclusive Ink to ink around the edges of all of the cardstock pieces.

Let's take a closer look:
(The inspiration for this box came from the Burt's Bees packaging...and Marvel, of course....)

(The inspiration for this little project can be found here...)

And so there you have it. Here's another look at them all together:

Hope you enjoyed this Marvel-ous little project. (Sorry, I know....bad pun....) Don't forget to drop back by tomorrow for the Rose Blossom Blog hop featuring the May Stamp Of The Month!
