Kraft-y Hearts Blog Share: A Little Taste Of Summer Mojo

Hi All! Welcome to the third and final blog share post for the Kraft-y Hearts' Taste Of Summer Blog Share. Remember: The Taste Of Summer paper pack retires at the end of May, so time is running out quickly!

Well, it's been a LONG time since I got to play along with the folks over at Mojo Monday, so I'm really excited to share today's project. It is based on the Mojo Monday's 399 Challenge:

 Here's my take:

These two cards will be going to my kids' homeroom teachers as an end of the year thank-you. I have a little gift for each, but I'll show you that tomorrow. :)

So I cheated a little on this card by using two different sheet of paper from the Taste of Summer pack. The yellow stripes is the back side of the lemon slices paper and the little flowers is the front side of the lime slices paper. However, I'll still be flipping the patterns for the second card, so it's only a LITTLE cheat.  The long pennant is from the zip strip on the little flower paper, to which I added White Shimmer Trim because you just need sparkle in life! The "Sweet" sentiment is from the Documenting Moments stamp set and is triple stamped (that is, I stamped the same image on top of each other three times) in Canary Ink on a 2-inch scalloped circle cut from White Daisy cardstock. I off-set the sentiment on top of a scalloped circle cut from the striped paper. "Thank you" and the sentiment inside (which you can see below) are from the Teacher Appreciation stamp set and are stamped in Black Archival ink. I added some sparkle to the Thank You with Diamond Stickles.

Here are a couple of close ups and a look at the inside:

Here is the card with the layers flipped:

And here are the two cards together:

And that concludes the Kraft-y Hearts' Taste Of Summer Blog Share. If you haven't stopped by the amazingly talented Lynn Darda's blog, make sure you do. You will certainly be inspired!

Don't forget to come by tomorrow and see the little gifts that go with these lovelies!
