A Little Sunday Mojo for Lasting Hearts

A big HELLO from the nation's frozen Capital! Snowzilla got us pretty good, but we've weathered it fairly well. We should be able to get our car out sometime next weekend....

So I just thought I'd share a little Mojo Monday 431 challenge card that I created. Here's the sketch:

And here's my take on it:

For this card, I used a white card base and layered it with Sorbet cardstock. The front panel is made from White Daisy cardstock layered with a strip of paper from Close To My Heart's Charlotte Workshop Your Way. I added a strip of White Shimmer trim for a little sparkle. The heart doily is cut from Sorbet cardstock using the retired heart doily die from Top Dog Dies. The mini envelop is cut from Charlotte paper using the retired heart album finishers die set also from Top Dog. The hearts on the front are cut using a variety of punches and dies from my stash, including the new My Anchor thin cuts dies from Close To My Heart. The white hearts are cut from white glitter paper that is include in the Gold Glitter Paper pack by Close To My Heart. I added some shimmer paint to the hearts to give them some pizzazz. The sentiment is from the CTMH Sending Love stamp set, and is heat embossed in white on vellum. Finally, because the card needed a little extra something, I added faux stitching and doodles on the front using my Micron and Copic pens.

Here are some close ups:

And here are the cards again:

I created 6 cards to send to the Lasting Hearts Card Drive. You can find out more about the card drive here

Hope you enjoyed this little bit of Mojo! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  3. What adorable Valentines, Kim! I love that sweet doily heart with the tiny envelope on top, and LOVE your bits of hand doodling in the background. This has such a sweet and homespun feel that I absolutely adore!
So glad to hear you are weathering the storm okay, as you are sort of right in the thick of things there! And thank you, thank you, for your order of AudOnes Prims. You are the best!

    1. Thanks, Audrey! Can't wait to get my prims! My hearth looks a little bare without my Christmas prims. 😄
