No Better Time To Be Thankful

Hi All! So last month, I purchased Simon Says Stamp's November Kit of The Month. I finally got a chance to play with it over the weekend and thought I'd share what I made, starting with my 15 (FIFTEEN!!!) 4-Bar (3-1/2 x 5 inches) cards.

Let's take a look:

The kit came with Simon Says Stamp's Thankful Heart stamp set, a mini cube of copper Delicata Ink,  twelve 6 x 6 inch sheets of patterned paper by Echo Park, 4 sheets of 8-1/2 x 11 inch cardstock in blue, green, red, and cream, one copper pearlized envelope and one orange pearlized envelope, a bottle of gold Stickles, the Floral Frenzy embossing folder and a cute little daisy metal paper clip. The kits are sold out, but I'll have links below to the components I used in this project.

I created the card bases from white, index-weight cardstock by Neenah and then layered them with blue, green or red cardstocks from the kit. I then used my MISTI to stamp the greeting on Close To My Heart's White Daisy cardstock using Autumn Terracotta Ink (which was retired a while back, but matches the orange in the paper quite well). I layered the greeting onto patterned paper and added a strip of Rose Gold Foil Tape for a bit of bling. I then added that layer to the card base. I stamped "for everything" on scraps of coordinating cardstock in VersaMark ink and then heat embossed it with Rangers Super Fine Detailed White embossing powder. I flagged one end of the greeting and then popped it up on the card using foam tape. And boom! 15 cards start to finish in about an hour!

Here's a look at examples of the green and red cards:

You'll notice on the red card above that I didn't use the Rose Gold Foil Tape. The tape covered too much of that particular pattern, which I think it holds its own pretty well anyway.

Here's a quick look at each of the color groupings:

Though the 4-Bar size is small, it can still be sent through regular mail. I really enjoying working with this size because it allows me to stretch my supplies as well.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed these little cards! Stay tuned for more projects made with this versatile kit.

Until next time, have a wonderfully creative day!

  1. Ooh, great job with the November kit goodies, Kim! I love this smaller card size.... one of my favorites! And love how that fabulous sentiment is the star of the show here. The copper tape is such a great touch. And changing out the colors to make a whole set was such a great idea!!
