...Why yes it is!!
Hi All! Welcome to the Kraft-y Hearts first Blog Share of 2015! This month we're taking a look at some of our favorites from the Seasonal Expressions 1 Idea Book.
Today's project is the anniversary card that I made for my husband last month. (We celebrated 22 years of marriage!) The bulk of the stamping in this card was done using the Amour Stamp Set:
The base of the outer and inner cards are cut from Kraft Cardstock and layered with White Daisy Cardstock and Heartstrings patterned paper. To make the front cover, I used stamps from the Amour stamp set (one of my all time faves). I began by stamping the script in Champagne Exclusive Ink on White Daisy Cardstock. I then stamped the postage images in 3rd generation Twilight Ink--that means I stamped the image twice on scratch paper and then the 3rd time on my cardstock without re-inking the stamp between impressions. I also stamped the Eiffel Tower in 2nd generation Whisper Ink. The couple is stamped in Chocolate Ink. The heart wreath is from the Heartstrings Cardmaking Workshop Stamp Set, and is stamped in 2nd generation Ruby Ink. The hearts are also from the Heartstring Workshop set and are stamped in 2nd and 3rd generation Ruby Ink. "Amour" is stamped in 1st generation Ruby Ink. The "22" closure is stamped in Twilight Ink using numbers from the Magical Moments stamp set.
Here's a look at the inside cover of the card. I used the same layering techniques to create the background paper. Both sentiments are from Amour. "Je T'Adore" is stamped in 2nd generation Twilight Ink and "Happiness..." is in Ruby Ink at full strength.
Here's a look at the inside flap. Again, I used a lot of layering.
Here are a couple of close-ups:
And here is a look at the card once again.

What a beautiful card! Love all the layered stamping. You have convinced me that I HAVE to get this stamp set! If I get that grant, you know I will be needing this for scrapbook pages. The inside of this card is as lovely as the cover. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't get that grant, Lynn, I'll have to have a word with that foundation!...LOTS of words.... :D And yes, the Eiffel Tower image alone is worth the whole set, IMHO! :D
DeleteSuch a lovely card! All the details you put into it are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Morgan!
DeleteKim, this is just so beautiful. I had to look back at the photos again and again to see all the detailed stamping. That is a stamp set I like but didn't know if I needed. After seeing your card, it's definitely a need!!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Kim! I absolutely adore the collage-style stamping here, and your fun-fold design is soooo fabulous!
