Here's the sketch:
And here's my take:
I started with a standard white A2 size card base, that I layered with Poppy cardstock. The patterned paper is from Close To My Heart's La Vie En Rose collection. I added a strip of Poppy cardstock that I embossed with a quatrefoil pattern to mimic the patterned paper. After playing around with the piece for a bit, I decided I actually like the debossed (back) side of the cardstock, so I glued it to the card facedown. The roses, leaves and sentiment are from the January Stamp Of The Month: Beloved Bouquet. The leaves are stamped in Fern and the roses in Poppy inks. The background for each element is a second generation impression. I then stamped the detail layer at full strength. (I love two step stamp sets. They are super versatile!) The sentiment is stamped in Black Archival ink. I fussy cut the images and popped them up with dimensional adhesive. I then added Black & Gold ribbon for a final touch.
Here are some close ups:
I hope you enjoyed this bit of Midweek Mojo. Tune in on Friday for a Kraft-y Hearts Blog Share featuring another look at the La Vie En Rose collection.

ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card! Love those flowers. Thanks for playing along with Mojo Monday this week!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful take on that sketch! LOVE those flowers! They look stunning fussy cut and popped up for dimension!!
ReplyDeleteThe color combination, the rose, and the scalloped lattice really standout! The gray green (~Mint Macaroon?) really integrates the other colors.
