Hi All! Happy Monday! I thought it would be nice to start the week with a little project featuring the beautiful Ariana Paper Pack by Close To My Heart. (I so enjoy working with these roses. The colors are just GORGEOUS!)
Last week, I ran across this tutorial for a "hidden message" card. It looked fun, so I thought I'd give it a try. The photo above shows the card "closed." If you pull up on the little bow, you get this
Isn't that just so cool?!? And really, it is a lot easier to make than it looks.
I actually used a few of my retired stamp sets for this card (it was nice to get them out again). The roses and leaves on the front are from the retired March 2013 Stamp Of The Month. Using Blush and Olive Exclusive Inks, I stamped a second generation image (that means I stamped it once on a scrap piece of paper and then again on my cardstock) and then layered it with a first generation accent. I then added a few Bitty Pearls in the middle of each rose. The flourish by each sentiment is from the Believe In Yourself Stamp Set and is stamped in Bamboo Exclusive Ink on White Daisy Cardstock. The sentiments (both from retired sets) are stamped in Outdoor Denim Exclusive Ink. I then added a little bow from the Ariana Assortment that I used as a "pull." Finally, I attached a small piece of White Daisy Cardstock to the inside slider for a little hand written message to be added.
Here are some close-ups:
I hope the Ariana Collection makes you smile as much as it does me. (The perfect thing for a Monday!)
This is gorgeous and oh soooo fun! you are smart to pair that SOTM with this paper. Very pretty.
