Terrific Tag Tuesday: Merry Christmas!

Hi All! Welcome to the final installment of the Kraft-y Hearts Terrific Tag Tuesday Blog Share. If you haven't already, be sure to hop over and see what the amazingly talented Lynn Darda has to share with you today at From My Bungalow.

Now on to today's project. So when is a tag not a tag? When it's also an envelope! Let's take a look:

So today's tag is fashioned after the library pocket you used to find in the back of books that housed the lending card.

I used heavy black cardstock for both the tag and the card, and rounded the top corners of both. I layered both the tag and the card with papers from Close To My Heart's Happy, Happy Christmas My Crush pages. Then embellished the tag with black shimmer ribbon and snowflakes cut from white glitter paper. I also added a white eyelet to the top and finished it off with black shimmer ribbon and red and white bakers twine from my stash.

For the card, I added a sentiment to a Happy, Happy Christmas Picture My Life card and attached it to the front of the card. The sentiment is from the Very Merry Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Archival ink. I added a couple of snowflakes to the front that I punched out of white glitter paper.

Here's another look at the front of the card:

To finish off the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment from the Very Merry Stamp Set in Sea Glass ink onto White Daisy cardstock and layered it onto the black base.

Here's another look at the tag with the card:

And that's it! I hope you enjoyed this tag-not-a-tag! Now I'm off to make a few more for friends and family. Don't forget to hop over and see what Lynn has for your inspiration at From My Bungalow.

Have a wonderfully creative holiday season!

Terrific Tag Tuesday: Frosty Cozy

Hi All! Welcome to the second installment of the Kraft-y Hearts' Terrific Tag Tuesday Blog Share. If you haven't been by Lynn's Bungalow to see what she has in store, you're missing out! So don't forget to pop by.

In the meantime, let's take a look at today's tag:

To create this tag, I cut the base from Neenah Solar White 110 pound cardstock. I then used Close To My Heart's Cozy Christmas Stamp Set, along with the coordinating dies, to finish it off. I began by stamping the outline of the snowman, his face and buttons on White Daisy cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I added his nose in Tangerine ink. I then stamped his hat in Tuxedo Black, his arms in Saddle Ink, and his scarf in Cranberry ink, all on White Daisy cardstock. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the pieces and set them aside. For the back ground, I stamped the two trees from Cozy Christmas in Willow Ink and snowflakes from the same set in Lagoon.

After I finished the background, I put the hat and arms on my snowman and popped him up on the tag using thin foam tape. I added his scarf with thin foam tape as well. I stamped the sentiment on White Daisy cardstock in Lagoon ink and then created a little wooden sign using my W0 and W3 Copic markers and my Bronze ShinHan marker. I added the sign to the tag with a layer of regular and a layer thin foam tape.

I finished it off by adding Liquid Glass to the hat, Christmas Red Stickles to the hatband and scarf, and Diamond Stickles to the eyes, nose, mouth, and buttons of the snowman, and to the centers of the snowflakes. When that was completely dry, I added some black marker accents to ground the whole scene and then tied on three strands of bakers twine from my stash for a hanger.

Here's a close up:

And here's another look at the tag:

I hope you enjoyed this fun little tag. Don't forget to hop by From My Bungalow to see what inspiring goodness Lynn has for you. And by the way, this cute little stamp set and its coordinating dies will be retiring at the end of the month, so you might want to grab it while you can.

Have a wonderfully creative day!

Terrific Tag Tuesday: Yuletide Joy

Hi All! Welcome to the first of three Terrific Tag Tuesdays brought to you by the Kraft-y Hearts. As the name suggests, each Tuesday, from now until Christmas, we will be featuring a little tag for your inspiration that could be used for gifts, decor, or anything you wish! If you haven't been by From My Bungalow to see the beautiful creations by Lynn Darda, you'll want to pop on over after you get done here. I guarantee you'll be inspired!

Now on with the tag!

To kick off Terrific Tag Tuesday, I thought I'd create something that could be used to dress up a gift or (as is the destiny for this one) a bottle of wine.

To create this tag, I used the layering tags dies by Hero Arts. I cut tags from Kraft and White Daisy cardstocks and Oh Deer! patterned paper using the largest die in the set. I layered the Kraft and patterned papers together and then cut some snow banks from the white tag. I stamped the sentiment from Close To My Heart's Retired October 2016 Stamp Of The Month onto one of the snowbanks in Sea Glass ink. I then used the tree die from the Woodland Wishes thin cuts bundle to cut trees from Fern and Ponderosa Pine cardstocks. I layered everything up with foam tape and added White Enamel Accents to the trees. When the Enamel Accents were dry, I added a little reindeer from the Oh Deer! compliments using foam tape.

After I was done I felt like the tag could use a little sparkle, so using the tags die set, I die-cut hole reinforcers from White Glitter Paper and added them to the front and back of the tag. I also added some shimmer pen to the tops of the snowbanks.

Finally, I created a hanging loop from some silver and natural bakers twine I had in my stash. And there you have it!

Here are a couple of close-ups:

And here's that tag one more time:

I hope you enjoyed my little tag. It was pretty easy to make and would make a fun little ornament as well.

Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to pop on over and see what Lynn has for you inspiration at From My Bungalow!

Have a wonderfully creative day!
