Rose Blossom Blog Hop: Artfully Merry

Hi All! Welcome to the Rose Blossom Blog Hop featuring Close To My Heart's Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge. If you've hopped over from Rose Blossom Legacies, you're in the right place. (If you're just joining in, you can hop back to Rose Blossom Legacies and start at the beginning. There is a complete list of participants at the end of this post as well.) Now, on with the hop!

Today I decided to make two Christmas cards for you that highlight one of my favorite features of this cartridge: the sentiment cards. These are cards that have sentiments cut into (or out of ) the card bases. Let's take a look:

The base of this card is cut at 5 1/4 inches from Glacier Cardstock. I cut a second card from Tan Glitter Paper and interrupted the cutting after the angel was finished (saves on paper). I then adhered the glittered angel over the angel on the base card. To give the card extra dimension, I added mats to the front of the card in Ruby and White Daisy Cardstocks. The sentiment is from the card sentiments stamp set that is included in the Artfully Sent Collection, and is stamped in Glacier Exclusive Ink on White Daisy Cardstock. Three Gold Sequins add a little extra bling.

Now for something a little different:

This fun card is cut at 5 1/2 inches from Kraft Cardstock. I backed the star with Tan Glitter Paper and the tree and "merry" with patterned papers from the Pear & Partridge Picture My Life collection. I used a white gel pen to color in "CHRISTMAS" and add some doodle accents to the front and inside of the card. The red patterned diamonds and sentiment layer are fussy cut from Pear & Partridge PML cards. The sentiment is once again from the card making stamp set, and is stamped in Ruby Exclusive Ink on Kraft Cardstock. A large glitter gem from the Yuletide Carol Assortment Pack adds a final bit of bling.

Here are some close-ups:

And here are the cards together:

I hope I've given you a little inspiration to grab your Artfully Sent cartridge and play. Now hop on over to Tweet Scraps and see what inspiration the extraordinary Morgan Vogt has created for you!
