You're The Bomb!--Playing with Paper Players, RetroSketches and Close To My Heart's June Stamp of the Month

Hi All! It's been such a long time since my last post! I promise I'll bring you a follow-up to my canvas disaster story soon. The short, photo-less version is that it all worked out in the end.

Today I wanted to share a little card I did using colors from The Paper Players Color challenge, a sketch by RetroSketches, and Close To My Heart's June Stamp Of The Month: Kaboom!

Here are the challenges:

And here's my take:

So my colors are actually Close To My Heart's Exclusive Ink colors: Ruby, White Daisy, and Pacifica (with a little Bamboo thrown in for accent).  I decided to do a subtle layer with this card, so I layered a piece of White Daisy cardstock cut at 4 x 5 1/4 inches onto the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2-inch White Daisy card base using dimensional adhesive. I used the Kaboom stamp set for the fireworks bursts and the "You're the Bomb" sentiment, which are stamped in Pacifica and Ruby Exclusive ink. The sentiment is stamped in Ruby onto a coordinating shape cut from White Daisy cardstock using the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. I then popped it up on the Pacifica firework blast with dimensional adhesive. The double-ended pennant is from the Oodles of Doodles stamp set and is stamped in Bamboo Exclusive ink. "Thank You" is stamped in Pacifica Exclusive ink on White Daisy cardstock. I cut it into a double-ended pennant and popped it up using dimensional adhesive.

Here are a couple of close-ups:

And here, once again, is the card:

I love the versatility of this stamp set. It's not just for the Fourth of July! This same card would be perfect for a congratulations card for someone, as well. Plus there are so many other cute images in this set. Remember, the Kaboom Stamp Of The Month is available only in June and can be purchased for $5 when you place an order of $50 or more, or for $17.95 with orders that are less than $50. And don't forget to check out the Celebrate 30! deal this month. We have some fantastic product bundles worth from $50 to $65 that can be yours for just $30 with a $50 purchase. That means for the month of June with a $50 purchase you can receive up to $83 worth of products for only $35 dollars! You don't want to miss it!
