Hi All! We're back to take a look at the smallest of the frames in this home decor grouping. It was also the simplest to put together.

The sentiment inside this frame is a sticker from the All Together complements pack by Close To My Heart. Initially, I thought I would layer the sticker directly onto pattern paper and the pop it up in the center of the frame, but it just didn't look right. So I cut the sticker out of the pattern paper (rather than trying to remove it) and popped it up on a frame of Sea Glass glitter paper with foam tape. I then used three or four layers of foam tape to pop the Sea Glass paper off the back of the frame. 

The embellishment is made with a collection of things from the All Together compliments pack, along with Sea Glass glitter paper and jute from the Rustic Home Ribbon pack. The "Making Memories" sentiment is copper foil on vellum. (Love that!)

The house is a sticker that I backed with paper and then popped up with foam tape.

I decided to call today's project (which I am linking to the Heart 2 Heart Tag It challenge) my "Tea &..." folio.

The folio is made from Kraft Cardstock. It's essentially a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4-inch card that I scored at 1 1/4 inches along the bottom to create pockets. I scored the left side at 3/8-inch and punched 2 holes to bind it. A little Color-Ready Seam Binding Ribbon does a great job for the binding. I covered the outside and part of the inside with Chantilly Paper. The little flower was made with a punch in my collection and the "Just For You" sentiment is from the Card Word Puzzle stamp set. (A hugely versatile, go-to set for me.) The sentiment is stamped in Twilight Exclusive Ink on Crystal Blue Cardstock. I added a couple of small wooden buttons from the Mini-Medley Accents Wooden Collection tied with bakers twine for a little fun.

The tag that tucks in the front pocket doubles as a bookmark. (I ask you, what better use could you find for a Jane Austen quote?) The quote (which is from the Stamp Of The Month set) is stamped in Twilight Exclusive Ink on Sweet Leaf Cardstock. The bookmark is cut from a double layer of Crystal Blue Cardstock and accented with Chantilly Paper. (Chantilly just says "Jane Austen" to me.) I used Color-Ready Seam Binding Ribbon and bakers twine to add a tie to the tag. Because I'm using this as a bookmark, I left off the bling. (Gasp! I know, right!) But books don't need the bulk of the bling. 

When you open up the folio, there's another little pocket for a tea bag. Cute, yes? I left the inside cover blank to add a sentiment later. It could be "Tea & Thanks" or "Tea & Sympathy" or "Tea & Just Because," I haven't decided yet.

Hi All! Welcome to Day 2 of the Kraft-y Hearts Blog Share! Did you see Lynn's innovative use of the Home Sweet Home set? You definitely want to check it out.

Today's project is a simple one. I have some friends who recently purchased their first home. Using the Home Sweet Home stamp set for their card was kind of a no-brainer. Let's take a look:

Since this card was for the whole family, I wanted it to be fairly gender-neutral. Kraft Cardstock was, of course, the perfect base. I kept the colors bright using White Daisy and Cranberry Cardstock and Outdoor Denim Exclusive Ink. The Chevron Ribbon is from the new Idea Book and very nice to work with. (I like ribbon that ties easily. My hands down favorite is our Color-Ready Seam Binding!) I couldn't resist adding a pop of color with a little yellow flower form the Paradise Blooms collection. I attached it to the bow with a white brad from my stash. "Congratulations" is from the For Every Occasion stamp set and is stamped in Outdoor Denim Exclusive Ink. I added a little Outdoor Denim bling using Blue and Green Sparkles.

Here's  a quick look at the inside:

The White Daisy Cardstock is cut at 5 x 3 3/4 inches. I used the Tiny Typewriter Alphabet stamp set (retired) to spell out "on your NEW HOME!!" in Outdoor Denim Ink. A few little Cranberry sparkles add some extra zing.

Kraft-y Hearts Blog Share: Day 1

Hi Everyone! Welcome to Day 1 of the Kraft-y Hearts Blog Share! This month, we're celebrating the February Stamp of The Month set: Home Sweet Home. 

Let's look at today's project.

This stamp set really lends itself to home decor. (LOVE THAT!) So for today's project, I covered and embellished a simple frame with Close To My Heart's Buzz & Bumble collection, and used Kraft Cardstock to create a little folder in the middle of the frame for pictures. (I tried to photograph the folder open, but it didn't work.) Let's look at the details:

The folder is cut from Kraft Cardstock to fit the frame. I offset the fold in order to accommodate the little heart closure. (The heart is from the Whoo's Your Valentine stamp set, and is stamped in Cocoa Exclusive Ink on Kraft Cardstock. I fussy cut it, popped it up with dimensional adhesive, and added a bitty sparkle. The front of the folder tucks in behind the heart.) The sentiment is stamped in Sunset Exclusive Ink and layered on top of pennants cut from Buzz & Bumble paper. I added Burlap Ribbon and Glitter Paper for extra texture. A wooden button and bakers twine from the Mini Medley Accents Wooden Collection layered under a sparkle brad (retired) adds an extra little pop. 

To embellish the frame, I layered distressed circles of Sunset Cardstock, secured them with a brad, and added curled strips of Sweet Leaf Cardstock to create a stylized flower. The beehive sticker is from the Buzz & Bumble assortment (as is the wooden flower on the "pin"). To make the beehive really pop, I colored over the raised areas of the sticker with gold oil pastel and added a bitty Tan Sparkle. I adhered the wooden flower to a paperclip that I had straightened and added a Green Sparkle to the center to make a little hat pin. Burlap Ribbon and Small Sparkle Flourishes complete the look.  For the top of the frame, I created a bow with Dark Chocolate Grosgrain Ribbon and attached a sparkle brad to it.
